ROCK THE BLOCK WINNER PREDICTIONS

[00:00:00] Shari: Woo hoo. Rock the Block is back, baby. Not that we're excited, but we have built our entire podcast premiere and rollout around Rock the Block, season six.

[00:00:10] Rhonda: Veterans versus rookies. What do you think about this lineup?

[00:00:14] Shari: I'm excited to see the newbies, Tristyn and Kamohai from Renovation Aloha, Chelsea and Cole from Down Home Fab and Jordan, Jonathan Knight's brother. It'll be interesting to see how they react with their competition, literally right next door. And out of their comfort zones. I can't wait to see the Alison and Michel matchup and anticipate them playing mind games with the rookies.

You know, I've skied in Utah and I've watched Bravo's Real Housewives of Salt Lake City franchise and Sold on Salt Lake City, so I'm basically an expert in Utah design and what sells there.

[00:00:44] Rhonda: Yes, I'm betting we see a lot of modern mid-century ski lodge and chalet de la chill, you know, organic meets mountain retreat. I wonder, how will they make this different from the Colorado competition, so we're getting something new and exciting?

[00:00:58] Shari: Ooh, I don't know, but I'm calling it here.

Chelsea and Cole are taking the overall win for sure. Her style is a complete match for the Utah vibe and they're used to working with a lot of space on a small budget. They're just made for each other and reality tv.

[00:01:14] Rhonda: I did consider that this will be Alison's third appearance, and she's never won the overall competition, so maybe HGTV throws her a bone. They actually paired her with Michel Smith Boyd, who was the season four winner, and I did love his house. Alison's previous pairing was with Mike Holmes, which always felt tense. And then with Ari, her carpenter, when she was by herself against Jasmine, Mina, and your favorite design goddess, Leanne.

[00:01:42] Shari: Oh, Leanne Ford.

[00:01:43] Rhonda: Yes. Alison was pretty aggressive that season.

[00:01:46] Shari: She's always pretty aggressive.

[00:01:47] Rhonda: she's,

[00:01:48] Shari: That's what we love about her.

[00:01:51] Rhonda: Yes. She's probably still angry Jasmine won when she flat-out stated she didn't think Jasmine was any real competition.

[00:01:58] Shari: I forgot about that.

[00:01:59] Rhonda: Yeah,

[00:02:00] Shari: I can hear Alison in my best all. Oh,

[00:02:05] Rhonda: Stage note. Stage note.

[00:02:08] Shari: I can hear Alison. If I'm not winning, I'm not coming. Then they give her a new design bestie and she's like, okay, do you think Michel got a prenup so he doesn't get Donovan'd?

[00:02:19] Rhonda: Donovan'd, oh gosh. I am curious what drama will be manufactured between the teams. I mean, was Tristyn shading Alison by saying she and Kamohai aren't bringing baggage?

[00:02:30] Shari: Oh, I totally think she was.

[00:02:32] Rhonda: If Alison does have baggage, I bet it's a Prada bag it's in a neon color and the label is strategically placed for the camera to see.

[00:02:42] Shari: Not that that might have happened on Windy City Rehab.

[00:02:44] Rhonda: Yes. Over and over again. Yeah.

[00:02:47] Shari: Let's face it, Alison has a crown whether she wins or not, she's definitely the queen of HGTV. I can't wait to see who wins.

[00:02:55] Rhonda: Me too.
